Books by Minfong Ho
Minfong Ho spent most of her childhood in Thailand, then studied in Taiwan and at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. She first started writing after she left home, to combat homesickness while studying in the United States. Her first two books, Sing to the Dawn and Rice Without Rain (voted Best Book For Young Adults), are set in the country of her childhood, Thailand. In 1980, she worked as a nutritionist with an international organisation at the Thai-Cambodian border, to where thousands of refugees had fled. The Clay Marble is a result of that sojourn. She now lives with her husband and three children in Ithaca, New York.
