As Britain moves into Europe - politically, economically and culturally - questions arise about the developments in poetry since the end of World War II. While readers in Britain may be familiar with work by overseas poets who write in English, this anthology analyzes and presents work (translated, often by eminent writers such as Ted Hughes and Derek Mahon) from across Europe, with all its linguistic and cultural variation.
