About Barbara Rush

BARBARA RUSH is the author or co-author of nine books of Jewish folklore and folktales for both children and adults, including The Book of Jewish Women's Tales (Jason Aronson) and The Diamond Tree: Jewish Tales from Around the World (HarperCollins) - the recipient of the Sydney Taylor Book Award. From the late 1960s to the late 1990s, Ms. Rush was a professional storyteller, appearing at theaters, universities, festivals, libraries, schools, and synagogues throughout the U.S., Canada, and Israel.
