Memorials of the Spanish Civil War: Official Publication of the International Brigade Association by Colin Williams
In 1936 while the British government pursued a policy of non-intervention, around 2000 volunteers from Britain and Ireland fought the Republican cause against Franco with the International Brigade. This volume presents a visual record of the many memorials erected as tributes to those who died in the struggle. Unique photographs of the war and an informative text tell the stories of those commemorated.
