He is author of the bestselling Michael Cooper's Buyer's Guide to New Zealand Wines (now in its 17th edition) and is a senior judge in many New Zealand wine competitions. Michael Cooper is the New Zealand consultant for Hugh Johnson's bestselling annual Pocket Wine Book and the acclaimed World Atlas of Wine, which Johnson co-authored with Jancis Robinson.
