Dunn's Law Guides - civil litigation, provides an accessible and readable account of the procedural and evidential aspects of civil litigation as taught and assessed on the Bar Professional Training Course, with a focus on the topics that must be mastered for the examinations. The book makes reference to relevant primary source materials, gives advice on using practitioner texts, contains revision tips throughout and concludes with a guide to examination technique. It is the culmination of nearly 25 years of experience teaching the subject and making revision fun. It thus aims to support and enhance the learning process and so help students pass their exams and begin pupillage, or other internship, with confidence.

About Virginia Dunn

Virginia Dunn, BA, MA, Barrister began practice in civil and family law and spent most of the last 25 years teaching studentsbtraining for the Bar at the Inns of Court School of Law, now the City Law School, London. She teaches a range of subjects there, including litigation and evidence. For much of the time she co-ordinated the civil litigation course, and has first-hand knowledge of how the subject is taught and assessed. She is now a visiting lecturer there. She contributes to several of the City Law School Bar Manuals supporting training for the Bar, and has written for the Institute of Legal Executives. This book is the culmination of many years of successfully providing her students on her courses with popular revision notes.
