1897. First Edition. 356 pages. No dust jacket. Black rebound cloth with gilt lettering. Pages are lightly tanned and thumbed at the edges, with some foxing. Binding has remained firm. Some internal hinge cracking with a loose bind, plates and pages. With some marginalia to a few pages. Water marks to page edges and corners. Boards have been rebound. Boards are a little rub worn with some slight shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are a little bumped and spine ends are a little crushed, with some small splits and chips. Book has a forward lean.
